The intraoral camera camera allows Dr. Lorett and staff to visually show you what is seen in the mouth. WIth this new aid we can send, via email, the pictures to various places (specialists, insurance, etc.) when needed.
The Spectra, a new technology in detecting decay/cavities, is in the forefront of preventable dentistry. A high-intensity blue light is placed on the area of tooth in question. It will register a numeric value that quantifies enamel, determining the level of decay.

We offer natural colored, enamel fillings that are both healthy and attractive.

Teeth Whitening
Please ask about teeth whitening options. Teeth whitening/bleaching is safe and effective. Results of whitening will vary from person to person depending on option selected, age of teeth, condition of teeth, diet and compliance.

Did you know?
5 Facts About Your Oral Health.

1. Not Flossing
Flossing at least once a day is crucial to maintaining a healthy oral environment. Flossing not only prevents cavities by removing plaque and food debris but it improves and maintains periodontal and bone health around the teeth.

2. Not brushing long enough
Two minutes is the recommended length of time one should brush their teeth. The American Dental Hygiene Association recommends a minimum of two minutes of brushing gums and teeth for optimal oral health with a manual or electric toothbrush.

3. Not replacing your toothbrush often enough
Not only are old toothbrushes ineffective, but they also harbor harmful bacteria that can cause infections. Toothbrushes should be changed every three to four months. It's also important to change your toothbrush after you've had a cold.

4. Dietary factors to be mindful of.
Consuming acidic foods and beverages such as sports and energy drinks, citrus fruits, wine and tomatoes can damage teeth and gums. Brushing your teeth too soon after eating and drinking these items can cause more damage because you are essentially brushing the acid into the teeth, not getting rid of it. Instead, you should wait at least 30 minutes before brushing your pearly whites!
